Morse Coaches have been in business for over 60 years. Established in 1948 in the families home village of Stillington, North Yorkshire. Grandfather Hugh started the school coach and taxi service, -handing over to Norman who has just recently retired. Morse Coaches are now looking to the future with the third generation. Andrew is the Managing Director of the new Limited company

However, with the development and progression within Morse Coaches, the majority of the day to day running of the company is now dealt with by our Operations Manager, Diane Thornicroft, who is assisted by our Team Leader, Robert Fairley.

Diane, is in her forth year with Morse Coaches who, away from work, is also Andrew’s partner. This combined with Robert and his family’s recent relocation to Sheriff Hutton boosts the local, family run ethic that has been at the core of the business since our beginnings in 1948.

With over 60 years of experience we are one of the leading operators within the "golden triangle" of North Yorkshire, with clients booking with us repeatedly, due to our high levels of safety and customer care.

We operate a modern fleet of midi-coaches starting with 16 seats going up to 35 seats, some with on-board toilet facilities.

We also operate a coach fleet based upon 49 seat executives, going up to 53 seat standard coach hire.

With the fleet increasing, and the natural progression, we have developed further maintenance facilities which were opened in early 2012. The new extension which has been purpose built to accommodate full size coaches, comprises of a further, new, full size pit, which allows the fitters access to service and maintain our vehicles to our high and consistent standards.

We also have introduced, for convenience, a set of four, independent, 20-tonne, HGV/PCV lifts to raise vehicles to gain access underneath for more space requiring jobs, from steam cleaning to engine removal.

For added safety and security, we have also installed C.C.T.V. on the outside of the premises, as well as the inside to help keep our staff and site visitors as safe as possible.

At Morse Coaches we operate numerous school contracts for the local authority and public schools.
